POEA Job Position: Refrigeration Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to learn operating principles and nomenclature of all assigned equipment.
Must be flexible and able to perform multiple activities.
Must be skilled in the use of electrical measuring instruments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance and troubleshooting of refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels/
recirculators, purgers, evaporators, heat exchangers, and control valves / isolation valves
Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems, vacuum cooling
system, compressors, valves, pumps and various other mechanical devices.
Completes all required paperwork including but not limited to refrigeration management change
forms, daily inspection and logs, emergency repair reports.
Diagnoses problems and/or failures in refrigeration systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs.
Assists with the installation of refrigeration equipment and systems.
Interpret electrical and refrigeration system engineering drawings and prepare sketches of circuit
diagram modifications.
Mechanical, technical, and operational, support to all refrigeration pneumatics, hydraulics and boilers.
