POEA Job Position: Financial Accountant

Location: Papua New Guinea

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 vears work experience
• A Financial Accountant should have advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and accounting regulations
• Time management abilities, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• Excellent attention to detail, accurate with numbers, figures and spelling.

Job Description:
• Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
• Forecast costs and revenues. Manage tax payments and organize internal audits.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Ensure timely production & accuracy of G/Ledger reconciliations, depicting actions steps required to
bring accounts in line & ownership of the financial accounting function.
