POEA Job Position: Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic

Location: Australia

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must be 25 years old and above
• Minimum of 5 years experience as Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic for Underground and Surface Mining machineries and equipment
• Field services experience
• Relevant trade qualifications/certificates
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal skills
• Understanding of OH&S procedures including SWIMS, JSA’s MSDS and/or completing plant risk assessments, hazard and incident reports

The types of equipment our Mechanics are required to service are listed below:

• Excavators – Hitachi, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kobelco, Leibherr, JCB (1.5-50 tonne)
• Heavy haulage dump trucks (40 tonner)/Water Trucks Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Mack, Freightliner, International, Iveco
• Graders- Caterpillar
• Loaders- Caterpillar, Leibherr, JCB
• Rollers Caterpillar, Aaman, Bomag
• Drilling Machines – Atlas Copco, Boart Longyear, Tamrock etc
• Rock crushing, jaw, cone & screen – Terex Finlay
