POEA Job Position: National Parts Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Location: Papua New Guinea

Qualifications:

  • Preferably holder of university degree or its equivalent commercial experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in administering and managing spare parts business in the motor trade industry.
  • Must have a sound knowledge in computerized inventory system, ideally familiar with Pentana Solutions -ERA
  • Competent with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be mature, stable and reliable.
  • Able to regularly travel to other branches throughout PNG

Job Scope:

Responsible for building a customer-centric service team within the warehouse, coaching and mentoring warehouse associates, working closely with National Retail Parts Manager to provide a positive customer experience and maintaining the overall effective operation of the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision of the warehouse team, including delivery driver, warehouse pickers, receivers, shippers and other associates.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and elevate team members to the productivity and accuracy expectations needed for a successful operation.
  • Provide timely, candid feedback and hold people accountable.
  • Maintain a cohesive team through setting clear expectations, measuring results, consistent/effective communication
  • Monitor and provide for the quality assurance of the orders and delivery date deadlines necessary for each order.
  • Arrange for shipment of parts going to each of the branches
  • Ensuring stock levels at all branches are maintained to deliver correct parts for every customer while maintaining and updating the program for parts ordering and stocking.
  • Co-ordinate with the National Parts Manager to determine parts requirements for new models and upgrades and set program to ensure ample parts are ordered and stock levels maintained in Branches.
  • Maintain, develop and oversee warehousing and distribution policies for the parts departments in all branches.
  • Works with all Branch Parts Department Managers to ensure staff are trained to understand customer needs and to interpret and deliver parts in order to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees the implementation of and adherence to all Company Policy and Procedures in all Branch Parts Departments relating to warehousing and inventory handling
