POEA Job Position: Plastic Moulder

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Start up tooling adjustments and settings of extruders and corrugators.
• Monitoring and adjusting multiple extruders and corrugator operating parameters such a temperature, vacuum pressure and RPM.
• Test products for functionality or quality, recording and updating Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and reacting to adverse trends.
• Monitoring the weighbatch system for the correct ratio of virgin polyethylene resin/masterbatch and recycled components.
• Adjusting blender resin recipes to meet requirements.
• Troubleshooting via a documented Root Cause Analysis and 5 Whys process
• Carry out maintenance as per the Upkeep Preventative Maintenance system schedules and reports, such as cleaning screens, filters, hoppers, changing out vacuum motors and lubricant changes.
• Pipe Extrusion, Pipe Corrugator and Pipe saw line changes
