POEA Job Position: Senior Plumber

3. Knowledge

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
Excellent problem solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
Reading blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
Cutting, assembling and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
Installing and maintaining water supply systems

4. Role/Expectations

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals and perform all plumbing activities.
Follow building plans and blueprints for layout of plumbing, waste disposal, water supply systems and etc.
Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required.
As and when required, keep records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used.
Able to oversee large plumbing project crews in various work sites at a time
Ensure safety standards are in place, for any unforeseen natural disaster, flooding erosion fire and other hazards.
Any other duties as and when required
