 SEO (Search Engine Optimization) –

SEO Expert must be responsible for improving a website’s visibility on search engines through a combination of technical skills, content optimization, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities: 

1. Keyword Research and Strategy Development

•Identify Relevant Keywords: Conduct thorough keyword research to discover high-traffic, low-competition keywords related to the website’s products or services.

•Develop SEO Strategy: Formulate a comprehensive SEO plan targeting those keywords to increase website traffic and conversions.

2. On-Page SEO Optimization

•Content Optimization: Ensure web pages are optimized with relevant keywords in the meta titles, descriptions, headers (H1, H2), and body content.

•URL and Meta Tag Optimization: Create SEO-friendly URLs, optimize meta tags, and structure data (e.g., schema markup) for better ranking.

•Internal Linking: Implement an effective internal linking strategy to enhance site navigation and spread link equity across pages.

3. Technical SEO

•Website Audits: Regularly audit the website for issues that could negatively affect search engine crawling, indexing, or user experience (e.g., broken links, slow load times).

•Improve Site Structure: Work with developers to optimize the site’s architecture, ensuring it is mobile-friendly and improves site speed.

•Fix Crawl Errors: Resolve errors identified in Google Search Console, like crawl errors, duplicate content, and XML sitemap issues.

4. Link Building and Off-Page SEO

•Backlink Strategy: Build a robust link-building strategy by acquiring high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites, which improve domain authority and search rankings.

•Guest Posting and Outreach: Engage in outreach campaigns, guest posting, and partnerships with other sites to secure relevant links.

5. SEO Analytics and Reporting

•Monitor Performance: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs) to track organic traffic, keyword rankings, bounce rates, and conversions.

•Analyze Competitor SEO: Perform competitor analysis to discover gaps in their strategy and leverage those for competitive advantages.

•Provide SEO Reports: Create detailed reports outlining SEO performance, areas of improvement, and the impact of ongoing efforts.

6. Staying Updated with SEO Trends

•Keep Up with Algorithm Changes: Stay informed about updates to search engine algorithms (especially Google) and adjust strategies to maintain or improve rankings.

•Continuous Learning: Regularly read industry news and best practices from SEO publications, attend conferences, and experiment with new techniques to stay ahead of trends.

Skills Required:

•Technical Skills: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for on-page optimizations.

•Proficiency in SEO Tools: Knowledge of tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and others.

•Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data from Google Analytics and other tools to derive actionable insights.

•Strong Communication: To effectively collaborate with developers, content creators, and marketing teams.

This role is integral to driving organic traffic and improving a company’s online presence, which can have a direct impact on business growth.
