• At least 2 years of related working
  experience
• Willing to undergo sponsored Trade
  Testing and necessary training to be fully competent for the job

Responsibilities
1. Welding different materials (carbon & stainless steel & aluminum)
2. Welding using different welding processes i.e. Manual Metal Arc, Metal Inert Gas, Automatic & Semi-Automatic Machine Welding (Submerged – Arc & KAT) & Resistance Welding (Stud Welding)
3. Welding butts and fillets to a high standard
4. Main process – FCAW / MAG – using ceramic tiles
5. Self-verification on all welds
6. Adhering to all the related standards associated with welding, including fume control

Skills and Qualifications Required
1. Current knowledge and experience in welding and use of associated equipment
2. Capable of all positional welding
3. Flux core experience (FCAW)
4. Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)
5. A clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
6. Understanding of manufacturing processes
7. Deposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations
8. Materials – and experience in welding carbon steel thickness 4mm and above, but specifically in the 4-10mm range
9. Should be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height

Preferrable:
 Safety certification i.e. SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height
 Background in a major construction/manufacturing environment
 Welding with MCAW consumables
 Welding aluminum with MIG process
 Welding with automated equipment
