Boomi Integration Architect

Job Description:

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Boomi Integration Architect to join our Enterprise Applications Integration Practice. In this role, you will define and guide secure, scalable, and supportable integration solutions using the Boomi Enterprise Platform, playing a critical part in enabling seamless connectivity across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments for our enterprise clients.

As the technical authority for Boomi-based integration, you will translate business and technical requirements into robust solution designs, establish reusable standards and patterns, and provide technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle—from discovery through production transition. You will work across application, API, event-driven, batch, file, database, SaaS, and B2B/EDI use cases, ensuring every solution is architected for performance, resilience, and long-term supportability.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires partnering with application, cloud, infrastructure, network, security, and operations teams to resolve integration and platform dependencies. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders, communicating architecture decisions, trade-offs, risks, costs, and roadmap implications with clarity and confidence.

Essential Job Functions

• Design end-to-end Boomi integration solutions across application, API, event-driven, batch, file, database, SaaS, and B2B/EDI use cases.

• Define runtime and runtime cluster topology, connectivity, deployment, high-availability, capacity, security, and workload-isolation requirements.

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into solution architectures, interface contracts, process designs, data mappings, and error-handling approaches.

• Establish Boomi architecture standards, reusable components, naming conventions, design guardrails, and lifecycle governance.

• Lead architecture and design reviews and provide technical direction to developers, platform teams, and delivery stakeholders.

• Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, resilience, security, monitoring, recoverability, and operational support.

• Guide modernization and migration from legacy middleware and point-to-point integrations to Boomi, including coexistence, cutover, rollback, and decommissioning strategies.

• Partner with application, cloud, infrastructure, network, security, and operations teams to resolve integration and platform dependencies.

• Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, risks, costs, and roadmap implications to technical and business stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of integration development experience.

• 5+ years of proven hands-on experience with Boomi Enterprise Platform.

• Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering enterprise integration solutions using the Boomi Enterprise Platform.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Boomi process design, connectors, APIs, profiles, maps, properties, packaged components, environments, deployments, runtimes, and runtime clusters.

• Experience designing REST and SOAP APIs, asynchronous integrations, batch and file interfaces, database integrations, and SaaS connectivity.

• Strong understanding of integration patterns, data transformation, orchestration, error handling, retry, idempotency, reconciliation, and transaction management.

• Working knowledge of TLS, certificates, OAuth 2.0, API keys, encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, and least-privilege access.

• Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, release governance, monitoring, logging, and production support.

• Ability to create clear architecture diagrams, solution designs, technical standards, and architecture decision records.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, mentoring, and structured problem-solving skills.

Other Qualifications

• Current Boomi Professional Architect certification or its current equivalent is required; additional Boomi Developer, Administrator, API Management, or Master Data Hub certifications are advantageous.

• Experience with other enterprise integration platforms in the EAI landscape, including SAP Process Orchestration, SAP BTP Integration Suite, Solace, Confluent Kafka, Apigee, Azure API Management, Axway B2Bi, and Axway Managed File Transfer.

• Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP applications across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

• Knowledge of API-led, event-driven, B2B/EDI, managed file transfer, and enterprise messaging architectures.

• Familiarity with Java, Groovy, JavaScript, Python, SQL, XML, JSON, XSLT, OpenAPI, Git, and integration automation scripting.

• Experience working in an Integration Center of Excellence, architecture review board, managed services organization, or large-scale transformation program.
