POEA Job Position: Barista

Location: Saudi Arabia

Baristas perform several job duties and provide customer service, taking orders and make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications, also operate cash registers and credit card machines, may handling customer complaints or questions, as well, must maintain clean and neat coffee machines, utensils, ground and surfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality and recipes standards.
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently.
• Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers.
• Observe relevant health and safety standards.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment.
• Ordering, receiving and distributing stock supplies.

• Uniform standard and exceptional personal hygiene
• No gum or smoking
• No cell phones or electronic devices
• No leaning
• “It’s not my job” is an unacceptable response
• No eating or drinking in customer view
• No playing with hair in customer view
• No complaining of any sort in public areas
• Teamwork

Eating periods and breaks:

• Employees are entitled to a break after working 5 consecutive hours
• You have to ask a manager before going on break

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work long hours, weekends and holidays
• Standing, sitting, bending, lifting as required

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent preferred
• Previous 1 year experience preferred
