POEA Job Position: Elementary Teacher

Location: United Arab Emirates

Job Description

• Teaches elementary school students in academic, cognitive and psychomotor skills.
• To teach the classes specified annually and be responsible for the academic progress of students within the classes for the academic mentoring and welfare of students in a form group when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Male or Female
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
• At least 2 years of work experience in teaching Elementary in a regular school in the Philippines or in the UAE
• Abreast with current educational and instructional methodologies and techniques, preferably knowledgeable with the KHDA Standards
• Knowledge in dealing with Students with Special Educational Needs
• Related professional certificates are highly desirable
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools
• Working knowledge on online learning platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoFormative, Plickers, Khahoot, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Elementary School Teacher, as assigned by the Vice Principal (Pre-elementary and Elementary), may include but are not limited to the following:

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Applies mastery of content knowledge and its application across learning areas
• Facilitates learning using appropriate and innovative teaching strategies and classroom management practices
• Manages an environment conducive to learning
• Implements and supervises curricular and co-curricular programs to support learning
