Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal vocational or technical training program in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a heavy-duty vehicle mechanical manager.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, components, and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues in heavy-duty vehicles. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• With Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
Job Description:
• Vehicle Maintenance:
• This may include performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, repairs, tire rotations, and other scheduled main procedures to keep heavy-duty vehicles in optimal conditions
• Repair and Diagnostics:
• Heavy-duty mechanics are responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and other issues with vehicles.
• This may involve using diagnostic tools and equipment, troubleshooting problems
• Repairing or replacing faulty components, and ensuring that vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
• Engine and Transmission Work:
• Heavy-duty mechanics may be involved in repairing, rebuilding, or replacing engines, transmissions, and other major components of heavy-duty vehicles.
• This may require specialized skills and knowledge in working with heavy-duty engines and transmissions.
• Welding and Fabrication:
• Heavy-duty mechanics may also be skilled in welding and fabrication, as repairing or fabricating metal components may be necessary in some cases to repair heavy-duty vehicles.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and other relevant information is an important aspect of an automobile heavy-duty mechanic’s job
• This may involve documenting repairs, maintenance tasks, and other relevant information for record-keeping and reporting purposes
