POEA Job Position: Refrigeration Technician

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to learn operating principles and nomenclature of all assigned equipment.
• Must be flexible and able to perform multiple activities.
• Must be skilled in the use of electrical measuring instruments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels/
  recirculators, purgers, evaporators, heat exchangers, and control valves / isolation valves
• Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems, vacuum cooling
  system, compressors, valves, pumps and various other mechanical devices.
• Completes all required paperwork including but not limited to refrigeration management change
  forms, daily inspection and logs, emergency repair reports.
• Diagnoses problems and/or failures in refrigeration systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs.
• Assists with the installation of refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Interpret electrical and refrigeration system engineering drawings and prepare sketches of circuit
  diagram modifications.
• Mechanical, technical, and operational, support to all refrigeration pneumatics, hydraulics and boilers.
