POEA Job Position: Roofers

Location: Canada

REQUIREMENTS:

• Male; 23-40 yrs old
• Able to communicate in English
• At least High School graduate
• With College/Tesda/Vocational course is an advantage
• Not afraid of heights
• With at least 2yrs experience and currently working
• Willing to do manual/heavy labor (Shingles are 801bs per bundle)
• Able to drive and with valid driver’s license
• No Criminal Record

DUTIES:

• Install, repair or replace shingles, shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
• Install sheet metal flashings
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tile on sloped roofs of buildings
• Instruct apprentices
• Operate CADD and other computer software system
