POEA Job Position: Sous Chef

Location: United Kingdom

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Competent in Key Skills
  • Ability to speak and Understand English to the IELTS 6.5 or Equivalent
  • Level 3 food Preparation and Cooking SVQ or Equivalent
  • Intermediate food Hygiene Certificate

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent Standards of food Presentation
  • Familiar with food hygiene/Safety and Health and Safety Regulations
  • Familiar with Stock Controls Procedures

SKILLS /ABIUTIES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Able to Manage the Kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Able to Priorities task and work under pressure achieve targets
  • Understanding of HACCP Procedures
  • Coaching Skills

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years Working in an Equivalent role producing a range of International Cuisines and banqueting.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • High Standards of Personal Hygiene, well-Groomed
  • Adaptable, reliable, good timekeeper; positive attitude; enthusiastic and keen to learn; conscientious
  • Committed to continued personal development
