POEA Job Position: Wallpaper Installer

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Capable for frequent reaching, bending, climbing, and stretching.
• Ability to differentiate between colours.
• Ability to read measuring tools, such as tape measures, rulers, and modern laser device
• Ability to read and follow directions when mixing or applying solvents, pastes or sealants.
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.

Job Description:
• Trimming the wallpaper at baseboards and ceilings.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous
improvement of workplace safe
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g., plaster).
• Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces
• If the walls are already papered, it will be necessary to remove the old covering and prepare the
surface to receive new paper.
• Uneven areas may need to be sanded, and damaged areas repaired.
• Depending on the choice of covering, it may be necessary
• Cut wallpaper into appropriate lengths, which requires making careful measurements and allowing
for repeating patterns so that each strip align properly with its neighbors.
If the paper is pre-pasted, paperhangers must moisten the glue
