POEA Job Position: Power Plant Panel Operator

Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in power plants in the petrochemical industry and/or oil and gas industry.
• Preferably a technical diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
• Understanding of the DCS panel operations and an overall understanding of QAPCO Vinyl operations
and products (i.e. Chlorine).

Job Description:
• Ensures in co-ordination with the filed operator that the equipment is safely prepared and handed
over for maintenance activities as per the instructions in the permit issued by the Lead Chlorine
Production Engineer
•Follows up with field operator for timely and proper sampling of the chemicals, raw materials and
products, gases, etc., as per the laboratory schedule.
• Checks the results and reports to the Lead Chlorine Production Engineer in case of any abnormal
• Communicates with systems operators to regulate and coordinate transmission loads, frequencies, and
line voltages
