POEA Job Position: Scaffolding Specialist

Location: Qatar

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 10 years of working experience is required.
• Oil and Gas Experience preferably LNG Project
• Experience working in Middle East or Ras Laffan project
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of MS Office (equivalent to Document Control work)
• Ability to work independently and in a multi-cultural team environment
• Completed CITB Certificates, including ECITB (Specialist) and 1CITB (Inspector) or equivalent
• Arabic language skills and Korean language skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and supervise the scaffolding team to ensure that all scaffolding activities are performed safely and in compliance with Qatargas SHES Policy & Procedures, Permit to Work Systems (PTw) and H2S/BA
• Attend the risk assessment meetings, address the risks identified by the Risk Assessment Report and identifies the resources required to ensure the scaffolding operations are carried out safely
• Provide onsite verification of the approved scaffolding design proposals/ reports, sketches, method statements and job safety analysis (JSA) and the approved inspection procedures
• Prepare, analyze and approve scaffolding design proposals / reports, sketches, method statements and job safety analysis (JSA) and to assess the scaffolding procedures on behalf of Contractor.
• Cascade Scaffolding Inspection Plan, advance instruction with scaffolding team and assign duties as required
• Ensure that all personnel from the scaffolding services contract meet the requirements of Qatargas and are competent enough to execute the scaffolding operations in a safe manner
• Ensure that all scaffolding material which including tubes, fittings, ladders and scaffold boards are inspected and certified before use
• Participate in scaffolding incident investigation as subject matter expert
• Prepare or supervise electronic tracking record for scaffolding material
•  Prepare Contractor’s induction training modules for scaffolding crews
